My project right now is a 1973 Harley Davidson TX125. Motorycle was built during the Aermacchi years, and are commonly referred to as Aermacchi bikes rather than Harleys as they are Italian built bikes. I am in the process of restoring it now. I bought the bike in March, 2010.
Week of 6-14-2010
Installed triple tree and steering stem loosely for now. Handle bars cleaned and mounted. Four footrests have been cleaned and polished, put aside to be installed later. Front flashers and headlight have been cleaned and installed. Front fender got a quick polish also, will be installed later when I get the mounts cleaned up. Forks have been dismantled and are going to work with me for a good cleaning. Rear brake lever has been cleaned and polished. Forks have been disassembled, cleaned, polished, and reassembled. Set aside for now till fork seal covers come in from Italy, 6-8 weeks. Got back my cylinder for the engine.
